Which is the real Hussong's Cantina, the one in the photo above or the one below? The answer is, both.
Hussong's in Ensenada is a legend, a pleasantly rowdy watering hole that has been a must stop for every college kid, beach bum, Baja traveler and serious party person since it started up in 1892.
Now there's a second Hussong's, not in Ensenada but in Las Vegas. It opened this January in Mandalay Place.
The new Hussong's looks just like the original, a cool, oldtime western bar with vintage photos and beer signs on the walls. And it serves the same salsas and guacamole.
The difference is, you enter from a brightly lighted corridor lined with shops, not the street, as in Ensenada.
Which is which? I'm not telling, but here are the addresses so you can take a look for yourself.
Hussong's Cantina, Ave. Ruiz 113, Ensenada, B.C., Mexico.
Hussong's Cantina Las Vegas, Mandalay Place, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. South, #121B, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
